Hi,

I can read in the DB "failed"

And now?
From a post in another thread I think there is the possibility to do part II/III again:

Here is reply that today I got from sun (Appreciate Sun for very fast answer!):

quote ear Dawid Augustynowicz,
Thank you for contacting Sun Certification Customer Support. We are happy to assist you.
We expect the SCEA 5 Beta exam results to be released by February 29, 2008. You will be notified via email of your successful certification.
If you do not pass, you will be notified via mail. You will then have the option of purchasing the Sun Certified Enterprise Architect for the Java Platform, Enterprise Edition 5 (Assignment Resubmission) (CX-310-301R) if you would like to attempt the assignment again.
We appreciate your patience.
Please let us know if we may be of further assistance. Thank you for choosing Sun products and services.
Sincerely,

And as far as I understand I will not get an email (but instead a mail).

Does someone know if we can now buy the Resubmission voucher?
Will we get a new assignment or should we "repair" our existing assignment?

Hi!

I received an response to an email from prometric telling they will send the grade in 4 to 6 weeks. Lets wait to see where we have gone wrong.

Regards,
Daniel

sigh ... I'm in the same boat. whaaaaaaaaaa!

I didn't check my email to see the project until well after the Thanksgiving holiday, at which point I had to try throw something together in less than two weeks AND keep a full-time job schedule.

I pretty much knew it was crap before I submitted it. I for sure that I didn't have all the business process worked out like I was supposed to.

Yeah. Hopefully we can just fix the current project, and not start from scratch.

Also hope we won't have to drop $400 ($200 project / $200 essay exam) to get 'er done. eeeeeeek

if you passed part 1 of the scea beta you don't need to take it again. however, the assignment for the beta is good only during the beta period. you need to purchase the voucher for part 2 and 3. or better yet contact the customer service of sun.

I was also one of the, apparently, few who did not pass Part 2/3 of the SCEA 5 Beta. I guess the 20 hours that I was able to spend on it during a busy December was too little.

I subsequently emails sun about detailed scores and options for achieveing the certification:
> I am now looking into how to proceed from here to acquire the SCEA5 certification. What are the steps involved?
> Is it possible to purchase a resubmission voucher and resubmit the SCEA5 Beta assignment?
> Will I need to purchase and take the full part 2 and 3 again?
> Will a breakdown of the scores of the SCEA 5 beta become available in order to see the details of what caused the failed attempt? And when?

The answer from Certification Customer Servicecame in yesterday:
> Unfortunately, we do not provide detailed assignment results for the beta exam.
> If you would like to resubmit your assignment, you may purchase the 310-301R assignment resubmission. You do not have to retake either the 310-052 SCEA 5 Part I multiple-choice exam or the 310-062 SCEA 5 Part II essay exam.

So we only have to resubmit the beta exam and it will be regraded. For myself that means that I will have to take a lot of the information which I ONLY provided in the part 3, due to not having had the time to consider all implications of my design before submitting part 2.

Hi guys,

I have also failed on Part II and III.

Seems to be a good idea being able to resubmit the assignment but since Sun didn't send us back the results for part II and III I don't know exactly what to improve on the assignment.

Beyond that, it would be a problem to resubmit only assignment because can become out of synch with the essay.

Anyway I think that I'll take my chances and try to resubmit the essay.

From memory I dont think they give you a choice about which one you can retake. You need to retake both 2 and 3. I didnt have to retake so I am not speaking from experience

I have to hand it to you guys to post this. It takes a lot of courage to accept defeat and try again and the number of "I passed" posts gives the wrong impression at times. Great attitude fellas. I hope you pass on the resubmission. Good luck
