Hi,

Do we need to represent the alternative flow also in a single sequence diagram. For example pay for itinerary use case has normal flow and an alternate flow paying using miles. Do we need to represent both of them in the same sequence diagram or can have seperate sequence diagram for both the flows.

Regards,
Vinutha.

i think that you can display both case in the same sequence diagram.
Also with uml2 you can have a frame with the label "alt" that represents a conditional logic.

Indeed and with UML 1.x you can use conditions with the message notated within square brackets.

Grtz,

Yes I know, but with uml2 is more elegant

From Prepare Itinerary sequence diagram how do I show calling of PriceItinerary sequence diagram? Or should I just put a note for continuation in the diagram?
