I am SCEA -PART1(CX-310-051).Can I do SCEA 5 ASSIGNMENT(CX-310-301A) .

I am SCEA -PART1(CX-310-051).Can I do SCEA 5 ASSIGNMENT(CX-310-301A) and
SCEA 5 ESSAY(CX-310-062)OR I require to pass SCEA 5(CX-310-052) EXAM FIRST.
Can anyone guide me about this.

Sorry, You can't this is quotation from mail received from Sun about retirement of old SCEA.

Also, you CANNOT combine Part 1, Part 2 or Part 3 of the SCEA (310-051, 310-300A, 310-061) exam with the existing new exam SCEA 5 (310-052, 310-301A, 310-062).

Consider finishing old SCEA and then upgrading or if You don't have old assignment purchased, forget about old SCEA and do a new one from the beginning.

In the worst case, you'd have to start all over again on SCEA5 part 1.

However, that is a worst-case-scenario. I would ask Sun or your local Prometric center, if you could use a voucher for SCEA5 part 3 on "old" SCEA part 3. The "old" SCEA part 3 exam is still being held - until the end of 2008 I seem to remember?

That's not true !
Part III is general CX-310 voucher. You can use such voucher for SCJP, SCWCD, SCBCD, SCEA PartI and SCEA PartIII and others.

I personally used such voucher to register to Part III of old SCEA two weeks ago.

So, Ashish if You already have old assignment purchased, go with assignment and buy CX-310 voucher to register for part III.
Remember that You have to finish old SCEA before end of 2008.

This is an encouraging news for me.
When did you purchase the voucher for Part III ?
