Hello Ranchers,
I have never used Rational Rose, but have access to the Professional J Edition. Is that any good for part II?

Thank you

StarUML was good enough for me. Free and light-weight.

Magic Draw Community (free for non-commercial use) and JUDE Community (free even for commercial use) are my top picks.

According to some Ranch detectives, the SCEA 5 BETA Team also used Magic Draw in the assignment.

Abhinav,

How did you add components to the deployment diagram in StarUML. I just started evaluating StarUML and it seems like it only lets me add predefined components, and those appear as 'text' instead of the usual component icon within the node.

Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks.

Create a Deployment Model (or any other model) in the Model Explorer, right click on it and "Add Component". You can then drag this component onto the deployment diagram.
