What is the difference b/w Trusted and untrusted MidLet Suites.

I think Permissions are only granted to MIDLET suites that we intend to make 'Trusted'. Right ? All other MidLet suites with no permissions to protected APIs are 'Untrusted'.

Correct me if I am srong somwhere...

A trusted MIDlet is one that is properly signed and the signature is verified by the device .. an untrusted MIDlet is unsigned or the signature is not validated at the phone...

Dont know the specs but this what i have seen on devices i have worked on so far ( personal experience)..
- Trusted MIDlet can access protected methods
- Untrusted MIDlet can also access protected methods BUT the user is prompted to allow the access ...
