183 questions in 4hrs

The email I received from sun says I will have 4 hours to complete 183 questions.Is this different from other's vouchers ?.

Yes it is different from mine. The mail that received mentions that there will be 160 questions that i have to complete in 4 hrs.

I have NOT received any email yet.

I registered on 17th May and received the voucher
on 23rd. I think you also will receive it!!.

A possible reason to have different number of questions could be the type of Sun certifications the candidate already has.

Ashish that may be the reason.When you register
you need to mention your other sun certifications.
I have only scjp and scwcd certs.But exam duration is same for all. 183 questions !!! It's like doing 3 exams.

I have SCJP, SCWCD, SCEA-Part I, IBM-483 (J2EE) and only 160Q in 4 hours

183 questions in 4 hrs..
oh God!!
Looks like, we have to carry lunch box, water bottle etc etc..
I remember sitting 4 hrs in an exam during my bachelor of civil Engg days for Engeneering graphics/Concrete structres exams... Had fun in those college days..

I have done IBM-483 test.But I did not mention it
while registering.Kathy can you please explain
this difference in no of questions for the beta exam ? 160 questions in 4 hrs and 183 questions in
4 hrs.

if difficulty level of qes. will be same then why difference of 23 ques.
23 ques means 15% more ques in same time.
Anyway, thanks to Sun Microsystems for giving opportunity to attend the exam for free of cost.

I have mentioned my IBM-483 but still the number of questions is 183 in 4 Hours probably 160 is looking good as a whole number quantity

"You will have 4 hours to complete 160 questions" and I have SCJP and SCWCD, i earned my voucher by doing the survey.

my voucher says 160 in 4 hrs.

My voucher says 183 questions in 4 hours. That's why I posted regarding beta testing and commenting....

Hmmmmm... I do not know the exact reason for the difference, BUT, I DO know that it has nothing whatsoever to do with any other certifications. There are two possible explanations, and I will ask tomorrow to find out for certain, but here are the possible reasons:
1) It is just a typo, and only ONE of the numbers is correct.
2) There *are* several different forms of the beta exam, and although I would have expected them to be equal in number, it is possible that they are not. In other words, you are not all going to be taking an identical exam. This is a fairly large jump in numbers, though, so I might be a little surprised if this is the difference.
In any case, I'll find out tomorrow when everybody returns to work.

Hi Guys,
I think we all will have similar number of questions as there is number of questions are not associated with voucher number or name but the same number of questions from question pools are downladed for paper by prometric Test Administrator.So you don't have to worry either its 160 or 183 just a little difference of 23

i even got two free vouchers with different voucher numbers. one of the number is my test id, and another is EXXXXX. :roll:
i don't even ask for the confirmation but will try with them on prometric.
