I have moved the number from 400 to 600 beta takers. This is your chance! This is your opportunity to take the beta, veiw all 183 questions, make comments, pass the free beta and receive your certification. You still have time to study and take the beta exam! Currently, only 220 candidates have taken the beta exam. You still have 2 1/2 weeks to study and take the beta and get certified! Sign up today! Thanks. Evelyn

Hi Evelyn, Im from Brazil and Ive received the voucher but Prometrics Site doesnt list the exam... I tried (and Im trying!) to register with a prometric local center here in my city but, they say that the exam does not exist. What can I do???
Thank you, Julio Cesar SCP1.2&1.4, SCWCD, SCEA part I

Julio, Please call Prometric directly, do not go to their website, it is not listed there. Please let me know if you have any other problems with signing up. If you do please email me directly at register4beta@central.sun.com. Thanks. Ev

Evelyn, You should have annonuced this before. We hurried to become one among 400 . I could have spent some more time on preparation.

I should reschedule the exam to the end of June. It sounds not good for us who had taken the exam. I didn't do well in Security questions because I never care about it in my work and I spent too little on it.

I do feel sorry for the guys who rushed their preparations in an effort to make the first 400. I too thought the number would be reached early and was prepping to take the exam on day 1 (June 6) until a major outside event prevented my doing so. However, now that the number has been expanded to 600 at least it looks like a much greater percentage of folks holding vouchers will be able to take the exam based on Evelyn's statement that she'd sent out 400-600 vouchers. So, for most folks the situation has improved.

Thank you, Evelyn. I'm certain that you must have felt that you were between a rock and a hard place for most of June. The information you gave (220 takers this far) was also extremely good. Information is better than none. Hopefully Sun will announce the number of vouchers it is issueing early-on next time. Good information on numbers of vouchers and number of takers allows potential beta-testers to more accurately assess their chances of being allowed to take the exam and therefore encourages them not to drop out on the basis of rumor as happened this time.

Thanks Alfred! The number 400 was out of my control. I hope you all (beta takers) understand. I pushed hard for 600! I will continue to give you an update (what the beta numbers look like) Good Luck to all. Evelyn

Thank you for pushing for us Evelyn and thank you for continuing to keep us posted on the beta numbers. Now, I can concentrate on studying hard and have confidence I'll be able to take the exam on July 3 and make the 600 cutoff.

At least the number of questions on the test hasn't been extended to 600! Cheers, Darryl

Evelyn, thanks for keeping us the latest update. Your efforts are very appreciated. BTW, I suggest in the future. It is good if we can get the voucher much early before the actual start day of the exam. I think many of us can only get the voucher at the beginning of Jun. It is difficult for us to appear (w/ well preparation) in the first two weeks of the beta period. If the beta exam start one month after we get the voucher, even shorter exam period, we can still have high present rate in the exam. Quentin

Thanks for the suggestion. Point taken for future betas. Evelyn
Even I was one of the early exam-takers and hence appeared below my expectation. But I understand this sort of communication gap may happen in case of beta exams. The number 220 looks very good. Carry on Evelyn.
