Is SCBCD a new Sun certificate ? Don't see it on SUN site

Is SCBCD a new Sun certificate ? Don't see it on SUN site. Has it become official ?

The SCBCD exam is in beta now for two or three more weeks. It will be officialized in late August...

So, do you what the format of this exam ? Is it going to be like SCJP (multiple choices only) , or SCJP (coding plus essay), or SCEA (multiple choice, design plus essay) ?
