Hi,
thanks for the replies, for the Belgian people(others are welcome also), how do you weight the importance of a java certification on the current job market?
I read that the firms are asking for experience people, how do you regards this certification in the respect?
Can we say that SCBCD equals x years of experience?

i think x is equal to 0 in this case. I didn't find many code example related questions. There were a few questions but the question didn't ask to check the syntax or the output etc. SCBCD should have been designed more or less like a programmer's certification.

Hi,
Related to the job market remark someone made I would like to share the following. Recruiters in my country (The Netherlands) are currently looking for people for projects in Belgium..so it does not seem so bad down south

It does help, but as you probably do know things are much more complicated. Lots of factors play a role in getting a job.
In Germany I would say the job market is extremly nervous. They are having allways >3 interviews for 1 job. First I speak with a manager. Then with technical people. They invite me another time to have a talk with another manager. But market might be better in Belgium.

No. no. Practical experience is a different thing. With certis you get the theoretical basis. But doing the job with good theoretical foundation is definitedly much more fun than without.
Do the companies really know, what kind of people they are looking for? I am starting to have strong doubts. I am trying to learn about those things which I think make sense.
