Local client can call another bean through its remote interface?

Local client can call another EJB bean through its remote interface since the EJB bean being called doesn't have a local interface (remote interface only), and the client and the bean are in the same VM?

Yes,
... and this was the only way to access other Enterprise JavaBean in version 1.1 before EJB 2.0 introduced *local* interfaces. Before EJB 2.0 any Enterprise JavaBean had to use remote interface even within the same JVM.
