This week's book giveaway is in the OCAJP 8 forum. We're giving away four copies of OCA Java SE 8 Programmer I Study Guide and have Edward Finegan & Robert Liguori on-line! See this thread for details.
When I was reading books for SCJP I was happy to know that I am learning rules and regulations of java as language. I was under the impression that developer exams are more towards real world problem solving. With SCBCD I am getting the feel that I am learning rules and regulations for EJB specifications.
What I feel is, even if the specifications don’t talk about load balancing and performance tuning, in real world scenarios most of the people who are responsible for bean development finally have to help the admin to deploy the application and later help him fine-tune it.
My personal feeling is SCBCD shall also have one section on performance tuning and load balancing. At least in conceptual way. This way the BCD's will have real good applied knowledge as well.
