Please help with Stateless bean question

Hi all,

On Pg227 of HFEJB, it says a bean(talking about statelss EJB) is not tied to a client's EJB Object until the client gets serious and calls a business method.

Then on pg 228, it says we can use SessionContext to get a reference to EJBObject in ejbCreate().

Isn't there a contradiction here? How can we get a reference to the EJBObject when it's not even there?

Am I missing something here?

Sorry for my ignorance. Thank you for your time.

It is true, it is bit confusing. There big discussion thread on this topic and u can do search on that. In brief i can tell you there is creation of temporary EJBOBject for stateless session bean during ejbCreate() method.

My advice:
Do lots of mocks on the last few days before u take the exam...
the one in HFEJB and on jDiscuss(there are lots there)
get familiar with the questions and style..
they are generally harder than the real test...

Nothing should really surprise you on the exam.

Good luck.
