The following 2 points mentioned in the spec are not clear. Basically, what do they mean?

1.The enterprise bean must not attempt to define a class in a package.
2.Provide support for additional methods in the home interface.

#2 is a goal for EJB 2.0 What it's basically saying is that as of EJB 2.0 there will be support for additional methods in the home interface: The Home business methods.

Not sure what they mean by "must not attempt to define a class in a package".
