Yesterday i passed the exam with 88%. For those who are going to sit for it in the near future, i have the following advice to give you.

1) Head First EJB by Bert Bates and Kathy Sierra is a must. This was my primary source of study. It has every thing you need for the exam. They've done it again!

2) Make your own notes as you go along.

3) The mocks on JDiscuss.com are the only mock exams which i did.

4) Go over the parts of the spec where you are having difficulty.

I had no previous knowledge of EJB, nor experience, and it took me 4.5 months to clear it with an hour a day (not every day) (although the last two weeks i gave it 2 ).
I scored 67% on the HFEJB final mock, so i guess the 20% rule also applied to me in this case.

The exam in general was easy, except for some particular question which seemed to come straight out of the specs.

Good luck to all.
Regards.

Congrats Marcelo...

I am also giving the exam on 22 Aug....

But I am having strange feelings as the exam is coming closer...

The thing which is de-motivating me is that a few days ago I visited Sun website to find EJB3.0 final release out...
And I have a feeling that whatever Iv studied may or may not help me in my career.

Though I do believe that studies/researches never go waste and this will not stop me for going further deep.
I have a great passion for java.. and it will be good for Java if EJB3.0 is successfull in industry.
