my exam was fine ..even thoguht i have not well prepared coz i have not covered the full syllabus with respect to those tricky, and didn't have much previous ejb experience,
if you wanna pass the exam and don't have ejb knowledge previously then don't goto short cut notes of Mallika ..coz they are good but for those who wanted to revise thats it but if you are reading first time it won't help you as i have tried that in order to save time but you got stuck and didn't able to answer the puzzle question asked in ejb, if your concept is not much good i suggest ..go for EJB 3.0 oreilly book ..its a wonderfull book seriously to learn ejb, and please try to cover all the syllabus because
even this is beta exam, you can try your luck and learn for the actual exam questions ... atleast you can try to attempt questions for all the sections.. and will know what kind of questions come from every chapter...
and time limit is quite less, seriously ... so you have to cover the easiest question first.. and difficult question later..
and use elimination funnda to answer questions.. like remove the option which you never think will be the correct answers.

keep water bottle with you to keep yourself refersh in the big 5 hrs exam really after 4th hour your feel tired.. but if you are serious about exam you will not feel tired to be honest and please do easy question first like skill all the questions which you feel will take more than 1 mins to answer .. this the secret for success in this exam.. i didn't do that but realising
keep answer big question later and don't worry there are lots of questions which can be answered with 45 seconds max. and which keep comming in intervals so do first give a round to all 180 questions,
and try to guess the questions by just seeing the glimpse of the question .. like "yes it will take more then 1 min, lets come back again..." with this you will not wait by reading the whole question which will also consume time... and there are around 35% questions which can be answered within 30 seconds i belive,

good luck

and yes one more thing... you can read
transaction, exceptions and security from HF book for ejb 2.0
and then upgrade to ejb3.0 very small change in ejb 3.0
and answer all the questions of its worksheet
if anybody wants further explanation.. please tell me
