SCBCD5.0 vs 1.3

A simple question. I've noticed that people say that the 5.0 certification is harder than 1.3. Why is it so ? Isn't EJB3.0 supposed to be a simplification of 2.0, making them easier to use ? Why is the exam harder ? Is it because there's not much material available yet ?

never mind. I'm reading the simplified spec, and I think I understood why it's harder

I have SCBCD 1.3, but I didn't find a upgrade exam from 1.3 to 1.5. Do I force to take the full exam of 1.5?

Guys,

As Satou points out EJB 3.0 is a simplification of EJB 2.1. So the concepts should be easier and when the concepts are easier to grasp, then it is more than anything!

I think it is just the lack of organized material, good books and mock exams. Otherwise, EJB 3.0 should be definitely and considerably easier than EJB 2.0

Actually, getting deeper into it, I'd like to remove that comment. I don't find it harder after all (not yet). So my first question still holds. Why is it said to be harder ? As Mansur said, maybe the lack of material.

not much money and time for failure, so go for 1.3 is much more guaranteed.

is that so?

An upgrade exam doesn't make much sense. There is so much changes that the upgrade exam would be like the "whole" exam.
