I downloaded the J2EE sdk from the sun website and everytime I start it I get this message in domain console window:

Starting Domain domain1, please wait.
Log redirected to C:\Sun\AppServer\domains\domain1\logs\server.log.
Domain domain1 failed to startup. Please check the server log for more details.
CLI156 Could not start the domain domain1.

Could someone lend a hand in solving this problem. I couldn't even find any log file.

Check for the firewall - in your system? . Disable it for some time and then try running it. Search for log files in the installation directory.

Shivani.
