A resource-local entity manager transaction is mapped to a resource transaction over the resource by the persistence provider.
can some one explain what the spec means by saying "mapped to a resource transaction over the resource by the persistence provider".

A resource-local entity manager transaction [=>>> application managed

Persistence provider is responsible for taking care of Tx Mapping for the given application managed
