scbcd 1.3 or scbcd 5.0

hi all,
i am planning to prepare for scbcd.
i have no ejb experience (but have got with servlets,jsp's and struts) and i am in a dilemma whether to start preparing for scbcd 1.3 (already got hfejb & read some of the chapters) or to proceed with scbcd5.0 (EJB 3.0).
what are the pro's and con's of these two versions (EJB 2.0 & EJB 3.0) in terms of time needed for preparation, value & demand added of these versions.
Also what are the books/links that would be helpful for ejb 5.0
can any one help me in this regard

Hi Satish,

If you're just interested in obtaining a certification, you may pass the 1.3 exam because its study is easier (with HFEJB).
It�s an obsolete technology but sometimes, you need to study an old technology because of a particular project.

EJB3 is more recent and therefore it�s more difficult to find study guides and mocks exams. But for me, EJB3 is more fun and simpler.
