EJB 5.0 deploy

Hi to everybody,

I'm preparing for EJB 5.0 using the O'Reilly book V edition.
At the fourth chapter, there is an example of EJB deployment.
According to what the book says, I have to create a jar file containing:
1. the .class files
2. META-INF/persistence.xml

First problem:
When I deploy the jar into jboss (simple copying the jar), the log says that jboss cannot find a deployer for the jar file. Specifically, it says that it finds no xml.
I'm using j6sdk+jboss 4.0.0.

Second problem:
In the Chapter 4 exercises, the ant task puts the persistence.xml into the root of the jar file, instead of META-INF directory. Is it correct?

Thanks a lot in advances!
