difference between CMT and CMTD

Is there any difference between CMT and CMTD. if so also between BMT and BMTD.

I am also getting confused with the responsibilities and exceptions.Is there any suggestion or notes(short cuts to remember).

Are these what you had implied ?
If yes,
A BMT bean uses BMTD using something like

ejbContext.getUserTransaction().begin();
...
ejbContext.getUserTransaction().commit();

while transaction mgmt is taken care for CMT bean by the container. Bean provider can control the transaction mgmt by setting the transaction attributes.
