Javaranch Moderators,

I sincerly request you to answer the posts within one day.
Thats what we are expecting from javaranch.

If it is not possible to do so from one geo, then we can include one from another geo.

like one in NA and the other in EMEA or AP.

This SCBCD category needs a big push otherwise it will sleep for ever.

SCJP and SCWCD are far more better than this category, this also might be due to less number of people opting for SCBCD.

Please focus on this.

Hi Srinivasan,
Thank you for your concern about this forum.
I sincerly request you to answer the posts within one day.
Thats what we are expecting from javaranch.

I think there is one misconception here. Moderators are common people, who devote some of their time to make sure that the ranch's rules are being respected. Of course, we try to answer ranchers as much as we can. I think that ranchers help ranchers. If there's less feedback in one particular forum, it may be because of the lack of interest by other ranchers. Please don't blame moderators.

Yes, in general we don't consider our moderators to be responsible for answering posts. They often do answer posts because most of them are nice helpful people. (Not me of course, but the other guys...) We encourage all the particpants in each forum to help each other. Some forums are very active, and some are not. We hope that you will be able to get some benefit from these forums, but after all, they are free - so if you don't get what you wanted out of them, you may need to look elsewhere. We are happy to hear suggestions for how the forums can be made more useful to people, but please remember that everyone here is a volunteer, and under no obligation to do anything.

It's clear for me now.

Only Rancher's can help other Ranchers.
No Moderator is suppossed to be resposible for answering a question.

Then I shall quit.
Thanks for your response.

You forgot to add a smilie at the end, I certainly hope that your post was poking fun.

eg: If you can't get people to provide the services you want for free, you should give up
or: If something is going to take too long I just leave it. Thats why the inside of my cardboard box is always so dirty

Only Rancher's can help other Ranchers.

Moderators are also ranchers, and will help like any ranchers. Like any rancher, when they have time, and when they understand the problem.

Dear Ranchers,

Sorry for saying "I will quit". Accept my apologies.

After posting the prior one I felt very bad. I have done it out of disappointment that posts are not being viewd by many ranchers.

I have got lot of boost from this forum and I have suggested so many to go through this.

You never know how many people view a particular question. What's certain is that the SCBCD forum gets much less traffic than the SCJP and SCWCD forums, simply because many fewer people take that exam.

It's also possible that the people who did see the question didn't understand it, or don't know the answer.

I haven't seen any of your questions so I can't say, but, is it possible that you aren't getting quick responses because your questions aren't well formed?

See this to find out.

I'm assuming that this thread is the reason you posted this. Note that if I'm looking at the forum index to find unanswered posts to reply to, I will see that your post has two replies, and so I might not even look at it. If I see a post with zero replies after a day or two, then that would invite me to come take a look. But since you've replied twice to your own post, you've made it look as though someone has answered your question. So don't do that!
