container-managed extended persistence context

Hello,
Following is the question
A bean provider has to use container-managed extended persistence context for a session bean. which of the following statements regarding the session bean is correct.?

A. The session bean can be stateful session bean but not stateless session bean
B. The session bean can be either stateful or stateless session bean

I think A is the correct answer since for stateless sesion bean the methods may be invoked on different instances and hence there would no same persistence context.
Kindly please tell whether I am right or not? Thanks in advance

You can use container-managed extended persistence only in Stateful Session beans.
