Which is the best book for SCBCD 5? O'Reilly or Mastering EJB? Which one do you suggest?

As far as I understood from success stories, you can follow oreilly book. You can refer to the SCBCD Faq for more details.

I'd recommed you EJB 3 in Action as a starter.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have no prior experience in EJB. Do you think EJB 3 in Action would be the right one for SCBCD 5? Let me know.

Shankar,

I'm planning to buy a book to prepare for SCBCD 5. Which one do you suggest? EJB 3 in Action or O'reilly? I'm looking for the book which helps in understanding the concepts clearly and which will be useful to get a good score in SCBCD 5. Please let me know.

I agree with Jothi. I saw a lot of posts saying that EJB 3 In Action is a good resource especially for beginners.

I personally used OReilly's EJB 3 book, although it was a good resource, I think you should still read other exam resources like MZ's guide and take exam simulators (I used enthuware) to get a good score. Lots of hands on exercises will surely help.

HTH.

If you are new to EJB, then start off with EJB 3 in Action and it will get you the basics covered easily. Then from the exam point of view pick up O'Reilly's book and Pro EJB 3 for topics on Entities.
