I am preparing for the SCBCD exam for java2 platform 1.4 and I bought the voucher.
Now it turns out that sun has removed 1.4 and the exam is being taken on the platform 5 instead!!

Is there a major difference in both the platforms and since i have already studied everything in context to 1.4, will I have to study much more for platform 5?

Please Help ME!!!

Thank You.

The best place to go for your answer is here: here

Oh, and this is the wrong forum. And don't e-mail moderators directly for stuff that should be discussed in the forum.

Nimrod,
Welcome to JavaRanch! Note that all caps on the internet is considered shouting and people will think you are upset with them. Similarly, everyone thinks their question is urgent and important. This doesn't convey meaningful information in a subject line. I've edited your subject for you.

Now on to your question - yes there is a big different between 1.4 and 5. You will have to study much more. The concepts from 1.4 will help make this faster than if you were preparing from scratch, but a lot has changed. For example, entity beans became JPA and session/message driven beans use annotations (and therefore different classes.)

And do not duplicate threads. I have removed the other one.
