Head First is very nice book to have since its very reader friendly.
I am looking to prepare for SCBCD certification.
I am not that much comfortable with EJB in action.
Can anyone help me in it.
I have seen SCBCD link at javaranch but still think i need one base book for preparation(similar to Head First for SCWCD).

EJB 3 in Action is close to Head First style. This book gives you basic understanding of all the concepts very well, you might also want to go through MZ notes for advanced concepts. All the other books I felt are like story telling and boring.

I hope this helps.

EJB3 in action is definitely the book to prepare from. It can be graded second to the headfirst series. It looks boring but is very interactive once you start reading it. If you have no prior knowledge on EJB 3.0, this book is a must. After that MZ's guide is necessary for the exam.

HeadFirst is not yet ready for EJB 3.0. you can follow EJB 3 in action and MZ notes.
