Its a query regarding choosing between SCBCD or SCDJWS.
I started my preparation for BCD exam. I have 5 years of Java experience. All my experience is on Servlets, JSP, Struts and partially EJB(only Stateless Session Beans). Never developed any EJB on my own, as a part of my job i am supposed to change some EJB's on requirement.Have good knowledge of basic EJB architecture, apart from this i have no idea about EJBs.
When i look in to BCD objectives, it's massive. Donno whether in real world all those concepts would be used or not. I dont want to waste my precious time just by spending lots of time and finally turned out to be certified which has no importance in market.
When i try to study the market, Webservices jobs are raising and offering very good packages. Hope you can understand where i am going to.
I have no experience at all in Webservices and dont even know the purpose of webservices. precisely zero knowledge on it
after reading all my experience above, my humble request to you guys, could any one give me a final word choosing between BCD or SCBJWS, which suits my resume.
If I were you, I would choose for webservice first. That's what I did. EJB 3.0 is quite new and some companies are still holding the watching attitude. You are right, by browing the job market, quite a lot of the job description is asking for the experience of the webservices.
It's good to hear, that you cleared SCWCD with big score. (I think I only got very less percentage... , I am sure I will rock in SCDJWS)
I have gone through some analysis, and I found that there is lot more demand on Webservices in market now. And I hope as you already know, coming is SOA world. And the heart of SOA is Webservices. So, I personally suggest you go for Webservices certification. No Confussions on this, I am damn sure that it will boost your career as well(Ofcourse with good packs )
Hope's to you see in Webservices forum... Good Luck [ June 13, 2008: Message edited by: Shashidhar Rao ]
