The SCBCD 5.0 exists since a couple of months. I"m like one of you awaiting for a Head First EJB 3 book.

I noticed on the Head First website that they are calling for authors to write an EJB3 Head First Book. You could always volunteer to write one yourself!

Not soon actually

Maybe September 2009. By that time we must be SCBCD 5.0 certified

Best regards,

Head First books on Java are so good that they spoil you. You don't really enjoy reading other programming books as much.

I come from the Economics and finance domain so I will say that most programming books I have come across besides Head First are difficult reads.

Authors might be great programmers but lack teaching and communication skills.

Which Authors are you talking about? I would not agree this if you say that they are the Head First Authors...

Vassili,

I remember you for a long time here at the ranch. Are you also preparing for SCBCD 5.0? Wish you good luck then.

Hope we become SCBCD 5.0 certified by that time the Head First book is out.
