Winners are selected randomly from the valid posts during the giveaway period. To be valid, the must be on topic, related to the SCWCD Exam. It can't be "Enter me in the contest" Sorry that will not work You must have a valid user name per Naming Policy You are not on the exclusion list which includes Paul Wheaton, Myself and Whizlab employees.

Is my name elegible? How may I change the name and/or topic of already submitted, in this thread, post? It would had been much more prettier, if this forum had a policy of prohibiting jargon since I do not have a jargon/slang/abbreviations dictionaries. I observe that even some bartenders and sheriffs have names that are not their's. Is it OK?

Leon, as I understood we do not have a plethora of exams, like for a previous exam... If there is no choice why to loose time choosing?

Leon, I scored 96% using this tool and that too was its first version. I used to score almost similar or little lesser in the mock exams of SCWCD@Whiz. You now have added advantage of addition mock exam and Interactive Quiz. Also now you have free mock exam at this forum Life is becoming easier for the people giving exam now. Best of luck rajat

Pardon my greeness. I am new to java. I understand the certified programmer and developer. Can you explain further about a Certified Component Developer. The place I saw components was dealing with Swing components and putting them in a JFrame, etc. Please educate me.

Hi Rajat, Will you plz tell me whether the questions in SCWCD@Whiz are closer to the toughness of real Sun SCWCD exam.If they reflect the real paper even uptill 80% then that would be really a great help to the candidates of SCWCD exam like me...as we do not have any study guides yet as we have got some for SCJP(like KM the great Book..) Well, congratulations on your success...

Scott Matthews: The only difference is that this components are web based components, using jsp ,servlets, EJB, among others. These may also be called components but they aren't client side components ( like swing or awt ) but server side components. That's the difference.

Hi... I saw you old posts that saying SCWCD is easier than the programming exam. I just want to know why ?? thats if you know. Why sun made it easier than the porgamming exam? To me, it seems Web component developer is a lot harder. With J2ee, servlets , JSP and some pattern problems right? how would that be easier? And there is no guide book for SCWCD. Most of us have to read 2 more books on the topics. thanks.

I've been reviewing the JSP and servlet specs. I think that has more detailed information that most books.

Does the exam cover the Servlet 2.3 API? Because it is way different from Servlet 2.2 with addition of Filter, Listener's and Wrapper classes. TIA

I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to
run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
