Just passed the exam this morning with 89%. My background has included developing JSP's, Servlets, and custom taglibs for almost 2 years, java for 3.5 (I took the 1.1 programmer's exam 3 years ago). I studied about 2 weeks total for the exam using the specs and the jwebplus exam simulator.
I found that there were a surprising number of security and design pattern questions... more than I had anticipated after following this group, and most lacking enough specifics to be close to ambiguous. Like many have said, other than studying the specs, memorize the DD and TLD structure... and come as close to memorizing the API as you can without going crazy
I found jwebplus to be a great prep tool. I've heard it described as harder than the actual exam, but my scores on jwebplus were consistently in the low 90's. Anyway, it's a good confidence booster going into it.
I was pretty low-profile in this group, but the threads and experience helped greatly... thanks to all!
Josh
