Dear Carl/Sherrif, I am surprised as to why isnt my Mock Exam put on the scwcd links. Its being widely appreciated and about 100 people hav attempted it in past 9-10 days.you can check out the list at http://www.webappcabaret.com/anandchawla/scwcd/mocklist.jsp and the exam link is on http://www.podar.net/scwcd The exam was done by me in the best interest of Javaranch from which I have really benefitted and I thought I could see some of the other people getting benefitted from it. Please do put it on the links page. another thing I am worried is that webappcabaret only gives one month free support and I dont know whats gonna happen after that...mycgiserver is a terrible place to host jsp and servlets... lets see
Anand, may be Carl was busy... ...but i strongly support that ur exam be on the scwcd link page as early as possible! I was also thinking why did u host that excellent mock in a 30-day hosting site? Better u mail to administrator of webappcabaret telling ur facts and referring to JavaRanch that ur site be hosted there until u get a sponsor for that site. Or u may also come to n agreement with them in leu of advertisement in ur each question page. Just do some thing b4 ur site goes out of our reach.... I have a friend who is hosting www.ourbangla.com by regular payment at brinkster, whom i can make agree to host ur site but that site does not support JSP, Servlets...only asp, access! So may be i can't help u now....still lemme try... I appreciate ur nice step heartily...

Well i think your mock should be putted on the link
i think we may try geocities, tripod, though i don't know if those sites support jsp, well, as an option, we may change the format to html if we can not find any other host. thank you for the great job.

Anand, I saw you've asnwered your own question - perhaps it's due to the transient nature of your hosting site. I believe it's a tedious job to maintain a website with potential missing links here and there... I also came across some posts mentioning that they got error messages in the middle of the process. I myself got an error message when I was reaching question no. 25 or something and then I decided to stop rather than starting from the beginning again. BTW, your effort is much appreciated.

FULL SUPPORT !! Anand's mock *MUST* be included in javaranch's links I remember what he said in his result post '.... i will soon come up with something for ranchers...' .. just see ,his motivation was all for java-ranchers...n he came up with something very good. So Java-ranch should come up now , and provide Jsp-servlets web-space for his mock , same as this space is provided for ranch's own mock once again appluse for Anand's gr8 effort and all DA good luck to Anand ------------------ Gagan (/^_^\) SCJP2 SCWCD Die-hard JavaMonk -- little Java a day , keeps u going .

Please let me know what happens after that. That would be the best time to talk.
Anand, I don't know if you accept corrections for your test (which is great by the way). Question 17: it prints 0 to 10 and not 1 to 10. Question 36: Answer D: Line 5 is not inserted in response but Line 5 is inserted in response. Typo: you have two line 5. Question 39: after I typed my answer and press the Next Button I got:
And I couldn't go further because of that. When I pressed BACK I got to question 40. After answering question 40, I pressed Next and I got the same exception. I think that your exam should not be posted as yet. I have tried your exam 5-8 times, and i never seem to get through the entire exam because of errors in the application. The furthest i have gotten to is question 25. I think that if mock exams are to be posted, they should be done when they work for all users. I know that I am not the first person to comment on the errors that occur. The problem with that is that for people who are trying to use your application for examination practice,.. they will not get to the end of the application.. and i don't know whether you provide answers .. which is something that is important for someone who is learning. The idea and thuoght of creating your application is very credible and i appreciate it. But, instead of pushing it up on the javaranch website as soon as possible.. it is more important that it helps those who will be using it. Make it bug free first. sorry if this sounds brutally honest..

I am very very surprised to hear all this. If u check out the list of people who have completed the exam.you will find that atleast 150 people have successfully given the exam, theres no way I have tampered with it. and also each question has a answer and explanation to it....apart from that I have displayed report also...the only problem is of the server support...there are not many servers which support jsp and servlet properly. I have a set up of 50 computers and I have successfully tried the exam on 20 computers at a time without fail. I hope Carl can help me out in this...I guess if javaranch provides a little help ..everyones problem will be solved... I just feel all my hard work is going waste,,,

from germany with modem: Sometimes I rushed into an error, but if I used back-button (I think, it was about a week ago) I was able to proceed. Axel

Anand, I just feel all my hard work is going waste,,, That's not true! Don't stick to that idea in any case. Ranjani is (brutally ) right. You say that more than 150 people have taken your test successfully but how do you know that not 1000's have tried to take it but were faced with the same problem? Seriously, you've done a great job and there are still improvements to be done, don't take this badly but more as a compliment or a RFI (Request For Improvement ). The thing is that I was just frustrated when I noticed that I couldn't go further than question 40... Since there are not many mocks for SCWCD out there I try not to waste them and take them only when I'm confident with the subject. Keep it up...

I looked at Anand's exam. I have not taken it yet so I don't know about technical difficulty in taking the exam. The questions are indeed really good. I strongly feel that the ranchers will definately be benefitted by this exam. Even if the exam throws some kind of exception, going through the questions would certainly be an advantage. Weather or not the exam is on Javaranch, people should consider going to the exam page and look at the questions (infact people should try taking the test) atleast once before they go for the actual test.
