Has anyone done the SL-314 course (Web Component Development with Java Technology)? Is it any good and would it be beneficial for getting the SCWCD?

Greetings: Sorry I cannot answer your question, I was wondering the same thing. Have you taken this course since your post? Along the same lines, Sun offers a web based version of this course (wjb-314-180). I was wondering if anyone has taken this course (or any sun web based course) and can share there thoughts. My company will not pay for the instructor lead course (gb-sl-314) but will pay for the web courses.
Any course on servlets and jsp will be very helpful for the SCWD exam even if they don't cover all the exam objectives....

At that price, 1. there is no way I can afford it. 2. there is not way my company will sponser, atleast in this economy. Hey! just get out there and prove that you can stand on your own. Imporves your confidence and feel really great. Maybe I am crazy, but I don't like to be turned down. I have a lot of confidence and wouldn't be afraid to prove that. For what its worth..... - satya
Wow! $2195 buys several good books, some new software, a new computer, and leaves $1000 in the bank.

I think this course is cheaper in India I had the oppurtunity to go through the course material. It doesn't cover all the exam objectives(like distributable applications,Design patterns), but it covers most of the topics pretty well. It is ideal for people who have little or no experience in servlets and jsp Manjunath [ March 10, 2002: Message edited by: Manjunath Subramanian ]
