what are the pre requisite for scwcd?

actually i wanted to ask this question that what are the pre requisites for scwcd if their exists any?
is scjp mandatory for appearing in the scwcd paper?

Yes SCJP is mandatory. And I think it makes sense. I have a webserver-programming background and started with Servlets/JSP/Beans with having some, but not enough Java background.
It makes l o t of sense to have a more or less solid foundation in Java programming before starting with more or less serious java server programming. I even think that its good to have some knowledge in UML and Patterns, although this is no official prerequesite.
