http://www-106.ibm.com/developerworks/java/library/j-taglib/?loc=j Think the author has something to say. To be honest I do not get the point. I have read about taglibs without coding this week and thought I would understand it. But today I realized that I have not. 3 steps back. And do some examples. hi axel, i read the link Creating Custom TagLibrary and seemed fine to me. if one gets a concept then its fine. i also need to do some coding for this. i didn try the developerworks document as it only has to say about the concept. try the link above if u 've not tried that. i found that very good. regards maulin
hi axel, btw what did confuse u? i want to have a look at that confusing part then... regards maulin

Axel: A quick look at the article you pointed tells me that this follows 1.1 Spec of JSP. For the SCWCD exam you need to follow the 1.2 Spec of the JSP. Though the article is dated Jan 2002. Maulin: The article you provided is dated way back into 2000 (if I observed it right?). This article also follows JSP 1.1 spec. As I mentioned the SCWCD exam needs JSP 1.2 Spec. There are some very important differences between these two. Please take a note. regds. - satya
hi, thanks for the help but i didn know jsp tag libs things at all and i found the link so i read it and found useful. yeah but sure, i will need to look at jsp1.2 spec to get details about exact API semantics... i'll b doing that after i get bit familiar with the concept of using taglibs. regards maulin.

I don't mean to say that the articles are not good. I haven't looked at them in detail. But, just wanted to give you a heads-up on the subject matter. Thats all. - satya
