The preparation process is more valuable than the certification itself. Of course, it is just my opinion. I was developing commercial JSP telecom applications, I've a website totally developed with servlet/JSP/XML etc. However, when I started to prepare the test, I found out I still needed to learn so much... The preparation process is invaluable to me. The good thing of preparing this kind of test is you don't need a big chunk of time, answer one question, write one small piece of code, read one class' API, read one paragraph from spec...
