Hi all,
Just passed the exam this Sunday noon. I felt that the exam was a bit tougher than some of the mock exams I had taken. I really blew it in the threads section of the exam, scoring 0% in that area. Other than that I did fairly well except for a couple of questions on beans. I thought I spent some quality time studying beans but the way some of those problems were presented on the exam made the beans questions a little tricky.
It took me about 4 months, right after taking the scjd, to prepare for the test, studying 4-6 hours every weekend I get a chance. I pretty much just relied on this forum and the scwcd links page to prepare for the exam. For that reason I'd like to thank everyone who contributed to the forum and the folks that help to keep this forum going.
Well that's about it and good luck to anybody who's planning on taking the scwcd and those planning on pursuing other certs. As for me I'm planning on taking either ibm's xml or uml cert. Depends on how big web services get.

Congrats Marlon. Well done, and who needs threads anyway.

Hmmm, thanx for the advice, I will watch for those pitfalls. Did you take the SCJD? It cover threads pretty well.

Wes,
I cleared the scjd back in december and you're absolutely right about the extensive coverage of threads for that scjd assignment. Not sure what happened, I guess I misunderstood some of the issues that were presented relating to distributable multithreaded servlets.

Hi All,
I hear a lot these days that there are lot of questions on distributed environment in the exam.
I was wondering if anybody can tell me how exactly the multithreading issues are handled in the distributed environment?
And also, are there any important points that we are suppose to remember in terms of handling distributed environment??
Thanks in advance
