hi all,
i want to have one of the following books.
1. Core servlets and JSP - Marty Hall
2. More Servlets and JSp - Marty Hall.
i heard that the 2nd book is extension/addition (or new version of) the 1st book and also the 1st book is online anyways.
should i buy 2nd one in that case?
i have oreilly's "Java Servlet Programming 2nd Edition". so, if i guy the 2nd book by Marty Hall then i won't be ending up having similar content in Oreilly's book and Marty Hall's Second book right?
please suggest something.
regards
maulin

ORielly's book does not cover JSP extensively....
If for JSP you are planning to go for some another book then you can go for "More Servlet".

You have to buy the "More". It covers all the material towards the exam, except HttpSessionActivationListener and Design Patterns. Great book, fun to read.
The "Core" is obsolete and just not enough. It covers only about 20% of the material.

As much as I know there are number of books that are about to be published. In my oppinion you can use the "More" as "Study guide".

I've got the SCWCD Exam Study Kit from http://www.enthuware.com/jwebplus/index.html and its a very very good book. One place stop for a certification if you ask me

Another book for JSPs is "Web Development with JavaServer Pages" from Manning (Fields et al.)
IBM has it on its recommended reading list for its #483 (Enterprise Connectivity with J2EE, V1.2)
test; I guess it covers many of the objectives of the SCWCD test, but those more familiar with the SCWCD may want to verify this...
