How many of you are considering getting SCWCD and also the SCEA? When you think of yourself having both SCEA and SCWCD, how often do you think you would use simultaneously the knowledge from each of these fantastic certifications...?
Sun Certified Java Programmer for the Java2(tm) Platform<br />IBM Certified Solution Developer, WebSphere 3.5
The mentioned post does not have much info. But I think one will be better equipped to have both certifications. One may start with SCWCD and end up with Architect. This approach might prepare you towards the easy path for complete J2EE prepartion and also one may be introduced to design and patterns with WCD. RS
Well I've done it a bit back to front. Recently completed my SCJEA and had some down time at work. So started on SCJWCD just because work was going to pay for it and I thought I really do need to brush up on the whole servlet/jsp thing and heck why not. Well I take my exam later this week and then I should have both. Problem is the down time has evaporated and I'm having to cram during breaks and lunch and evenings now! The exam seems to focus on remembering alot of details so I'm sat at my desk with some flow charts showing JSP custom tags in action and listings of DTDs .. But I must say some things I've learnt on the way will be invaluable for example .. 1) Why I kept getting IllegalStateException 2) What these Realms are all about 3) How these freeking tag libraries work  Jas [ July 17, 2002: Message edited by: Jaspreet Singh UK ]
