Dear All,
I cleared my SCJP this April & I'd like to go for the SCWCD . I know squat about servlets , JSP , etc . I'd appreciate if you'll could answer a few of my questions -
1.What do I need to download from Sun to get started ? Plz tell me the version aswell .
2.Which cert oriented book can help me ?
3.Generally how long will it take to prepare for the cert ?
4.Is the cert objective oriented i.e do I pick my answers from a list of options ?
5.Any open source books available for this cert ?
6.Subjective question - What can help me get a job - SCWCD or SCJD ?
Thanx
Ashish H.

You need to download a servlet engine like
Tomcat. To set up Tomcat4, please follow this link.
A old but informative source is Marty Hall's Core Servlets and JSPs
For more info, please see the Javaranch SCWCD FAQ page.
Best of luck

Configuring Tomcat will be pain without that link. I'll be pretty much on my way to starting my SCWCD prep by this time tommorow.
Thanx brother
