Which are mandatory elements of the web-resouce-collection element?
1) web-resource-name
2) url-pattern
3) http-method
4) auth-constraint
I think 1) web-resource-name is right because of <!ELEMENT web-resource-collection (web-resource-name, description?,
url-pattern*, http-method*)>.
but the answer is 1) and 2), why?

I agree. Only the name identifying a resource, web-resource-name, is required. The element url-pattern is optional.
