I'm rather worried by the meaning of Certified...
Where do we get the Components Certified?
This is real deep stuff we're getting into here.
Is the certification for SUN components only?
How do we split a Web into components. It has holes and nodes and edges. But do the holes realy exist? Are they not just in our heads? Without the knots (nodes) we would be in a right tangle I guess.
Or is it that some developers should be certified?
Beats me... I give up.

Welcome, Barry (AKA in school as "Stttooooppppittt Gaunt"),
the rule of Big Thumb in Javaranch is that it is considered rude to hijack somebody else's topic. Open your own and hijack it back and forth at your wish.
The certification is mostly for searching job (I cannot invent any other reasons. Can you?)
So, how would I explain to HR whether SCWCD will do also the job of WebDevelopper and whether "Component" restricts or epands Webdeveloper title?
