Hi, I have started studying for SCWCD. No experience on JSP and Servlets. I bought manning's book and started studying. The thing which i want to ask is the type of questions in the exam. I read in the forum that lot of coding will help to pass the exam. Is the exam pattern involves code examples as in SCJP , or it involves only multiple choice questions. pls help. The other thing which i want to ask is that i got Professional jsp 2nd edition by Wrox. Is it worth reading or should i stick to manning and jsp and servlep api specs? Pls reply Thanks Salima
Dear DON, In SCJP they give us Some lines of code and was asking for output or was asking for error in the code. These questions were also multiple choice questions. So out of yr reply i m not understanding the exact type of questions, they are asking in SCWCD. It will be yr courtesy if u more describe " the type of questions in SCWCD " Thanks in advanced, Dharmin
SCJP2 (93%),SCWCD(88%)<br />-------------------------------<br />Never under estimate yr self, just represent yr profile in proper manner.
The questions in this exam relate to the Servlet and JSP API as well as questions relating to Design Patterns. However, the questions are not like the SCJP where you are given code and asked to identify a problem. For example, the design patterns questions present a real life situation and ask which pattern is most appropriate. You would be well advised to buy on of the many books avaliable that discuss SCWCD in depth as most of these give very comprehensive sample questions and sample tests. I would (in a very biased manner) recomend "Professional SCWCD" from Wrox Press Hope this Helps Sam

Hi Dharmin: To my knowledge, there is no code example question. All the questions are testing your concept and some grammer (like tag lib). I think a good place to start is to purchase the Sun mock exam, that gives you a very good picture of how exam is like? You may also want to search this forum. I took the exam on 9/01 and I found a lot of good information here. HTH,
