Expiration Issue

Hi friends,
I saw in some threads that there exist a expire date concerning the JSWCD certificate. I am wondering of the rule for SUN to work out the date. It's 2 years or 3 years after you take the exam?
For me, the expiration depressed me a lot. Is there any webpages of SUN stating that? and are there similar problems with scea or scjd?
Thanks in advance

Check this out: SUN RECERTIFICATION POLICY
Unless otherwise stated, and beginning with all Sun Certification exams taken after September 1, 2002, certification offerings from Sun are valid for two (2) years from the date of certification. The certification date will appear on both a certificate and an identification card with the applicable certification title. The identification card will also include an expiration date, on which an IT professional's Sun certification status expires.

It's pretty normal for a certification to expire -- in this industry or any other. Microsoft certs expire. First Aid / CPR certs expire. And as of Sept 02, Sun certs expire. That way -- someone who took their Java certification in the year 2002, can't claim that they're SCPJ certified in the year 2008 -- lord knows by then the language will have changed.
