Absolute url:
http://localhost:8080/webappname/index.jsp
root relative url
/webappname/index.jsp
non root relative url
webappname/index.jsp
what would be the following format imply
./webappname/index.jsp
../webappname/index.jsp
Thanks

Hi,
./mydir is the same as saying /mydir.
However ../mydir is specifying a directory called mydir in the same directory as the parent directory,
if that makes sense,
Cheers

Hi,
The other way to think about in DOS/UNIX is
"cd ../mydir" = "cd mydir"
Thanks,
