We are starting to get a number of different threads on where to post, and where to get resources for the SCWCD 1.4 beta exam. I'll start this thread with links to the J2EE 1.4 SDK, the Servlet and JSP Specifications. That should get us started. If you can find resources that can specifically help with the 1.4 Beta exam, please add them to this thread. If you can pinpoint things that have NOT changed from 1.3 to 1.4, please post them as well (that way we can use our current means of study to get those topics solid).
Thanks, Help, and Good Luck!

I was not, however I noticed that some of those links were for things covered under the old JSP/ Servlet specs. Good link list, just make sure if your using those links to ensure that your getting the info on the newwer API's and specs. In any event, thanks for posting the link.

There are a few mock exams, but none is that complex AFAIK.
You may want to check out j2eecertificate.com, but it is based on the old exam objectives.

Of course, u can rely on the specifications, but it's pretty difficult to understand the concept in it coz there are not much examples and explanation are not that good...
But they are a good place to start ur study on the new beta exam...

To practice for wonderful sample examples go straight to
http://developers.sun.com/events/techdays/codecamps/webservices.html
and download
JavaServer Pages (JSP) and Servlets Code Camp
Advanced JSP and Servlets Code Camp
only.
Work on these wonderful samples.
NOTE : (I think these dosen't cover JSTL)
(If you are a beginner you might want to work more on samples).
Trick : (Work on all samples hidden in the form of codes but you have to make them working apart from the main app mentioned in each exercise)

Good Luck for your exam.

hi reshemi,
actually for my preparation i am using the SCWCD study guide-Hanumant plus the jsp and servlet specification, they are very usefull but since they are long and we are short of time, i suggest to you to only read the parts where you have doubts.
For mock exams, there is nothing actually that could be really helpfull for the beta exam, since it seems the question are much more difficult than the old exam, but be assured, all the beta testers are facing the same situation so nobody has advantage here.
But since you still have to practice on some mocks i suggest to checkout j2eecertificate.com.
