Evelyn,
I received my voucher and it says that we have until the 8th to take the exam, so I signed up to take it on the 7th. Where are some of the posts talking about the exam ending on the 5th or 6th? Also, how many test are there left to take?
Thank you

Hi Rashmi Date,
As per my gut feeling I can say that, you can take a chance as upto now I presume not more than 50 people have taken the exam.
I am saying because I haven't seen many posts from people already taken the exam.
The ultimate decision is totally yours.
Good Luck.

Hi
I have two questions:
1) My voucher says 'expires Feb 6, 2004'. Can I take the exam on Feb 7, 2004?
2) I tried to schedule exam on prometric.com site but the list of exam choices doesn't display '311-081 Beta'. The prometric was closed by the time, I tried to call them up to schedule for Beta. I still went ahead and scheduled for 310-080 SUN Certified Web Component Developer Java 2 Platform. Is it OK? I hope I can call prometric on Monday and change the exam.
Thanks
Ravi

Hi Ravindra,

1) My voucher says 'expires Feb 6, 2004'. Can I take the exam on Feb 7, 2004?

I think you should really check with the prometric staff (during your phone registeration). They will 1st ask you the voucher number, and then you can ask which day is the last day for this test. If he said 6th, then you have no way to schedule it to 7th, even though Evelyn (or SUN) said the last day is 8th becos the staff cannot help you to book a record that does not exist in the record database.
Make any sense?

2) I tried to schedule exam on prometric.com site but the list of exam choices doesn't display '311-081 Beta'. The prometric was closed by the time, I tried to call them up to schedule for Beta.

ALL beta exams from ALL vendors do not allow Internet registration unless they have specified. And thus, the only way for you is to register via the phone.

NO. The voucher can only be vaild for registering 311-081. If you use it to register for other exams, it will be invalid.
Finally, please notice that, you should call the center at the office hour of its location's local time, not your own local time.
Hope you can register the exam smoothly, and best luck for your exam.
Nick.

Hi
I called up prometric and scheduled the exam for 7th Feb though my voucher expiration date says '6th Feb'. I hope that it is accepted for evaluation. Irrespective of that I intend to take the SCWCD 1.3 version the week after since I have been preparing for SCWCD 1.3 for long and I want to move on to SCBCD certification once I am done with SCWCD.
Thanks
Ravi

Decided not to take the exam 'coz of the Sylvan Administrator's
cold response to my call in my city.
Thinking of complaining too.

Me, too. I hope it doesn't matter.
Could anyone give a exact answer whether I am making a big mistake?

Hi guys,
Even i have rescheduled my exam to 7th feb. I think that, if the prometric is able to schedule the exam on 7th than its acceptable, coz at the time of scheduling the exam, there must be the check on the expiry date of the voucher...so if ur prometric center is able to postpone it successfully i don't think there shud b any problem.
I just hope i wud b able to make it in that 400 count.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
