Can anyone explain me about ServletConfig interface?

ServletConfig is used for 2 things: 1) get a specific servlet's initialization parameters out of the deployment descriptor 2) Get a reference to the ServletContext object

I think you can look at it as a handle to talk to the container hosting the servlet.

By using ServletConfig we can retrive initialization parameters by two ways...
by calling directly getServletConfig.getInitParameter() or getServletContext.getServletConfig.getInitParameter() , depends upon the situation we use either of these
