SCWCD 1.3 until when?

Hi,
Just a little question: Does anyone know for how long Sun will continue to offer the 1.3 version of the exam? I want to be certified, and my book is for 1.3, and I expect that I'll need a few months to prepare. Am I in trouble?
Kindly,

We wont know when SUN will retire the old exams, however, I think it wont happen within 1 to 2 years.
SCJP 1.2 is an example. After SCJP 1.4 released for about 1.5 years, SCJP 1.2 is still available.

I agree with Nicholas; while there are no guarantees, based on Sun's usual policies, the current exam will probably be around for a looooong time yet. (18 - 24 months?)
One thing to consider however, is that the new exam is a much better exam in many ways:
- It tests for more meaningful knowledge
- It covers very important technologies not covered in the current exam
So while the current exam will be around for a long time, savvy employers will probably be more impressed with the newer certification.
