On page 177 is a simple 7 line jsp, that counts the number of times a page is accessed. I always get "Welcome! Your are visitor numer 1". I'm using the exact jsp source from the book's CD. Why isn't the count increasing on each access of the page?

Are you hitting the Reload or Refreshing the Page ? May be it is giving you the cached version.

Thank You!! Satish

Hitting the refresh button does cause the counter to increment properly.

I was puting the cursor in the address field of IE and hitting enter.

Thanks again!!
