Need suggesstions about SCWCD books

Hello Gurus,

Has anybody used following books for SCWCD preparation and what is the experience?

1) Core Servlet and Java Server Pages, Vol 1. 2nd Edition by Mart Hall and Larry Brown.

2) Core J2EE Patterns, Best Practices and Design Strategies, 2nd Edition by Deepak Alur, Dan Malks and John Crupi.

Also please let me know if you have refered any other books/documentation and/or tutorials.

Both of books are great for J2EE study.

The first book is not really cover all about JSP and servlet that are required in SCWCD 1.4. If you are new to J2EE, it is a good starting point.

The second book is very helpful to learn J2EE patterns and covers all patterns, except MVC.

Most of SCWCD fans must know and have the following books:

2) SCWCD Exam Study Kit: Java Web Component Developer Certification (ISBN: 1930110596)
